"Navigating across volatile and ever-changing social landscapes and contexts—while fostering trust, collaboration, and shared vision—is a widespread goal across industries, sectors, and groups. Yet many of the old approaches and checkboxes don't bring lasting results."
—Rozella Kennedy, GoEquitably Principal
In this particularly acute moment of societal shifting, we must reaffirm our commitment to inclusion and cross-cultural competency. We have all been raised in a society that fractures authentic intercultural appreciation, awareness, and inclusion—often through no deliberate fault of our own.
The Go Equitably approach draws upon a wide variety of resources, from business and organizational management tomes and DEI “classics” to the ISO standard for Diversity and Inclusion, psychology, popular culture, self-help, and—unique to this practice—the stories of BIPOC women leaders in history as cornerstones for intersectional celebration and de-centering of default whiteness narratives and monocultural hegemony.
At the core of this is a commitment to centering diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice as essential operationalizers of individual growth and systems change, and finding ways to help colleagues and clients build authentic, heartfelt, and generative practices to sustain these shifts.
Merging praxis and personality, I guide learners and clients through the blind spots, legacy biases, and social complexities that impede belonging and strong collaboration.
Work directly with nonprofit leaders and boards, employee resource groups (ERGs), philanthropic and community groups, and others in employing tactics and resources to successfully and sustainably build inclusive, equitable, and culturally adept cultures of belonging and mattering. Short term, ongoing, and embedded services are all provided, depending upon context and need.
